Children's Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy for Children & Young Adults
It has become more acceptable in recent years to acknowledge anxiety and mental health issues within children and young adults. Children have always suffered from anxiety; indeed, I remember quite vividly the nerves and stress I experienced before exams and when speaking in front of the class at school. Nowadays we are much more aware and understanding of children's mental health and Solution Focused hypnotherapy - it being a gentle, non-confrontational and non-regressive therapy - has become more and more popular and is now widely recognised as a child-friendly approach to therapy.

We like to ensure that our sessions are fun! Children's Hypnotherapy should not necessarily be a serious process; we want our clients to look forward to their sessions and will do everything we can to keep your child engaged, positive and smiling!

Adapted to the child's age, we use a series of fun techniques and tricks to help them overcome those problems and issues they are experiencing, slowly making positive changes to the way they perceive the world, the way they think and the way they behave.

Utilising CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) techniques, talking therapy and light suggestive hypnosis, Solution Focused hypnotherapy encourages the child's subconscious to make the changes necessary. Because of this process, the progress made will be organic and subtle as opposed to being forced, allowing the subconscious to make the changes at its own pace, thus ensuring that those changes made feel completely natural to the child.

We are fully insured and DBS checked.

*Hypnotherapy is an effective method of treatment, however success is not guaranteed and full client commitment is important. For example, listening to our accompanying therapeutic audio tracks between sessions is a vital element in the process and participation is required. This will be fully explained in the initial consultation. Results may vary from person to person.
